ITRCA hosted a roundtable discussion at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF). The event got experts and students together in one venue and discussed the following issues.
Saboor Mobariz, ITRCA Team member moderated a session on the importance of Cyber Security discussions and initiatives in Afghanistan. The session discussed the newly passed Cyber Crime Law and its implications for the country. The roundtable was very well represented by the Academia, Private Sector and the technical community.
The panel members included Mr. Nasratullah Ghafori (ITRCA Team member), Ms. Zohra Zekeria (Academia), Mr. Hamid Dorani (Government), Mr. Aimal Marjan (Private Sector) and Mr. Khalil Azizi (Academia).
Nasrat Khalid, ITRCA team member moderated a session on research and innovation in Afghanistan. The session discussed academic papers related to the ICT Sector of Afghanistan and also showcased a few papers that were produced by ITRCA guest writers and team members. The panel members also discussed innovative ideas that are implemented and should be implemented in Afghanistan and the different programs that are trying to use innovation to tackle problems.
Panel Members included Mr. Wais Payab (Government), Mr. Omar Mansoor Ansari (Private Sector), Ms. Annika Schmeding (Academia), Mr. Gran Hewad (Academia) and Mr. Javed Hamdard (Private Sector).
